As the Krum High School varsity football team makes district history by winning their first playoff game, the team is breaking new ground again by becoming the first student group to donate to the Krum ISD Education Foundation’s Founding Donors Campaign.
The 2014 varsity football team and district athletic director Gary Robinson presented a check to Foundation secretary Daryl Real and development fundraising committee member Chris Farmer at Bobcat Stadium on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
The Foundation aims to raise $250,000 by the end of the Founding Donors Campaign, Dec. 31. In just three months, the Krum community and area businesses have donated $187,000. The KHS varsity football team is just one more example of a group that is helping the Foundation reach its goal.
Those who give $100 or more to the Foundation before Dec. 31 will be recognized for their gift permanently on a monument that will be erected in 2016 in front of the Krum Performing Arts Center. Donors will also be recognized on the Foundation’s Facebook page and website.
