On October 3, 2017, KEF representatives Bret and Stacy McDaniel attended the KMS Pep Rally and were able to present Grant Freels a KEF Student Enrichment grant in the amount of $1000. Grant is currently a 6th grader at Krum Middle School. This award was presented to Mr. Freels to take part in 2017 Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C.
