On May 12, 2020, Krum ISD Education Foundation awarded six Class of 2020 graduating seniors scholarships, each in the amount of $1000. Normally, the Foundation presents these scholarships at the end-of-year Senior Awards program at Krum High School. In light of the COVID-19 restrictions, KEF Chair Stacy McDaniel phoned the scholarship recipients to give them the good news.
KEF awarded its first senior scholarship in 2016. The Foundation had a single scholarship offering at that time - the Janeda Peploe Memorial Scholarship. Since that time, the scholarship offering has grown to include five different senior scholarships, each in the amount of $1000. In four years, the Foundation has awarded $15,000 in senior scholarships.
The Foundation is proud to be part of the continuing education journey of these deserving students.
