Ten grants awarded to students in 2020!

During the 2019-2020 school year, Krum ISD Education Foundation (KEF) awarded ten K-12 students student enrichment grants totaling just over $5000. The KEF student enrichment grant program provides funds to K-12 students or student groups for student enrichment learning opportunities and/or activities that complement the District’s core areas of learning: English Language Arts, Math, Science, History, Foreign Language & Arts (examples: Spanish, Art, Drama, Music), and Career & Technology (examples: Ag Science, Cosmetology, Mechanics, Welding). Class of 2020 Awarded Six Scholarships

On May 12, 2020, Krum ISD Education Foundation awarded six Class of 2020 graduating seniors scholarships, each in the amount of $1000. Normally, the Foundation presents these scholarships at the end-of-year Senior Awards program at Krum High School. In light of the COVID-19 restrictions, KEF Chair Stacy McDaniel phoned the scholarship recipients to give them the good news. KEF awarded its first senior scholarship in 2016. The Foundation had a single scholarship offering at that time - the Janeda Peploe Memorial Scholarship.
